  • What is your delivery fee?

    We deliver for free to all of Windham County, over the border to Rhode Island and over the border in Massachusetts.  Please feel free to call us if you are not sure if you’re in our free delivery area.

  • Do you remove old furniture? Is there a charge for that?

    We remove old bedding (please scroll down to our Mattress Orders section about the Recycling Fee) and recliners for free.  Due to the rising costs of fees associated with our trash service, we have had to raise our rate.  Removal for a sofa starts at $100. Any additional items will be an additional fee discussed at the time of the sale. No other items will be removed at the time of delivery. We reserve the right to refuse any items that are unsanitary or left outside.

  • I'm expecting a delivery soon. What should I do to prepare for the delivery?

    All we ask is to have all walkways and areas are clear.  If there are any breakable items or knick knacks that can be moved, please do. We are not responsible if you need us to move your present furniture to another room or storage. This should be done before your delivery. We also will not take apart your old furniture in order to bring in your new furniture.  Any doors that need to be removed need to be done by the homeowner. We do our best to ensure our delivery people respect your home; this just makes the delivery move faster and smoother. Please note: our delivery crew will not remove their footwear under any circumstances for delivery in your home. This is due to insurance purposes and their safety.  They are also not required to wear anything over their footwear that may cause them to slip and fall in your home. You are more than welcome to lay down blankets or plastic to protect your floors or carpeting.

  • What is the delivery time frame?

    We give a 2 hour window for deliveries.  Due to weather and unforeseen circumstances we just ask for your patience if we are running behind.

  • Will you bring our old furniture to a different location?

    This is a service we do not provide.

  • What if there is damage to my furniture on delivery?

    We do our best to make sure that all of our furniture is inspected before we load the truck. In a case that we may have missed something we need you to contact us directly so we can handle any issues in a timely fashion.

  • What is a special order?

    A special order is any item we do not have in stock at our warehouse that we have to order from the factory

  • How long will it take for my order to come in?

    Each manufacturer we carry has different time frames. The average order depends on the company at this point in time.  Please inquire at the store because the time frame is constanly fluctuating.

  • I just ordered my furniture but I need to change one of the options. How much time do I have after I place my order to make a change?

    Because we try to order your furniture as quickly as possible to make your wait time as short as possible, we cannot change a special order once it has been placed. If you are unsure that your selection may not be an exact fit or color, simply ask us to hold your order until you verify that it is what you want.  We only want you to be happy with your purchase!

  • Does my order go from the factory straight to my house?

    Your order arrives at our warehouse for us to inspect and assemble (if needed). We then contact you to schedule a delivery from there.

  • My order came in and I do not like it. Can I return it?

    Anything that is ordered cannot be returned to the factory. We do our best to make sure you receive exactly what you purchased. This is why we do not pressure you into making a decision right away so that you will be comfortable with your selection when you get it delivered.

  • What Mattress brands do you carry?

    We carry Serta, iComfort, iComfort Hybrid, Simmons Beautyrest, and Corsicana Mattress Company.


  • What are the different mattress sizes?

    Twin size bed dimensions: 39" x 75"

    Full size bed dimensions: 54"x 75"

    Queen size bed dimensions: 60" x 80"

    King size bed dimensions: 78" x 80"

  • How do I measure my bed to find out what size I have?

    The best way to do this is to measure your existing box spring. If there isn't one there, measuring the area where the bed will fit in the bed rails would also suffice.

  • How do I measure my bed to find out if I am ordering the right height?

    We can order a lower height box spring to accommodate a thicker mattress so that the bed is not so high. Usually the lower height box spring is about 5" thick compared to the normal 9" thick regular height box spring. You would want to measure your current mattress and box spring height to see what your current height is so we can adjust it to meet your needs.

  • I have an antique bed. Can you order special sized mattresses?

    Due to Covid-19 we cannot do any special sized mattresses.  We are hoping this changes soon

  • I am hearing about a new mattress recycling charge. Does this apply to me even if I am not having you take away my old mattress set?

    State law requires retailers to collect this fee on any mattress and boxspring sale to fund the state's mattress recycling program.  The state approved the amount of this fee ($11.75 each piece), which is not controlled by individual retailers.  This mattress recycling program is similar to the recycling programs that a number of states have for other products like paint, tires, carpet and batteries.

  • I am not comfortable on my new bed. Can I return it?

    We understand that buying a mattress is a difficult process, and that sometimes what feels good in the store doesn't feel the same when it is delivered.  Sometimes we are exchanging a bed that hasn't been replaced in quite a while, and there is a certain adjustment period that needs to take place.  On some of our specialty bedding there is a pre-determined time frame. On our other bedding it is 30 days.  We have a $75 return fee and a new mattress has to be selected.  We cannot return your money. We exchange the mattress only because the box spring is usually a standard build used throughout the industry.  We will work with you to make sure if you have to run through this process that it is as painless as possible.

  • I have had my bed for a while, and I think I may have a warranty issue. Who do I call?

    You need to contact us here at the store so we can ask the appropriate questions to determine if there is a warranty issue. We handle any warranty questions here at the store.

  • What is the furniture warranty?

    All of our manufacturers have warranties on their products. This is the warranty that we go by. We would be more than happy to provide this information to you at the time of your purchase.

  • What is the bedding warranty?

    Most of our mattress sets currently have a 10 year warranty

  • Who do I contact if I think I have a warranty issue?

    You would need to contact us here at the store so we can determine if you have a warranty issue. 

  • My furniture is past its warranty period. Is there anything I can do?

    In some cases parts can be purchased on a charge basis. We can order this for you at your request.

  • Do you charge to repair my furniture?

    Most of our manufacturers will cover a certain time frame where it is no charge to the customer to make repairs.  If it is past that time frame, we do charge to repair or replace parts.

  • Do you charge to come to my house to assess any issues with my furniture?

    If it is past the time frame that the manufacturer says it is free, yes we do

  • How long is your layaway program?

    We have a 6 month layaway program. You can make pick up the layaway early if we are given enough notice.

  • How much do I need to put down on my layaway to get it started?

    We require a 10% non-refundable deposit on all layaways

  • I need more time to pay on my furniture. What do I do?

    Please feel free to contact us with any issues on your layaway. We would be more than happy to accommodate you in any way.

  • How often should I make payments on my layaway?

    We ask that you make monthly payments.  If you decide to do it more frequently that is all up to you!

  • Can I make my payment on your website?

    We do not have that capability yet.

  • Do I have to come into the store to make a payment or can I mail it?

    You can mail us a payment or you can come into the store. Whichever is easiest.

  • Will I get a statement to remind me of my payments?

    We send statements if you have not kept your account active.

  • I need to cancel my layaway. What is your policy?

    If this happens, unfortunately we have a no cash refund policy.  We apply a minimum $100 restocking fee and all other deposits will revert to a store credit or gift certificate that can be used on your next purchase

  • What type of payment do you accept?

    We accept cash, personal check, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover and Apple Pay.

  • Why do you not accept credit card payments over the phone?

    We want to make sure that every transaction is secure. For that reason we strongly enforce that all credit card transactions take place in store.

  • Do you have financing?

    Yes we do.  We use Syncrony Bank. It is a simple application that can be filled out here and the whole process takes about 5 minutes. There is also a tab on our website where you can apply for financing for ourstore online!

  • How long can I finance my furniture for?

    We have an interest free with equal payments for 12 months

  • Do I have to activate my in store credit card?

    Yes, you do. Your in store credit card can only be used here at Bill's Bedding and Furniture, but it is an easy and affordable way to purchase furniture!

  • Do you offer same day pick up?

    No we do not.  We require an appointment for ALL pickups because we need to coordinate it with our warehouse schedule.
